An intelligent cooking app that: in three steps, will ask the user for five ingredients and will then generate and suggest recipes that can be prepared with those items within a time limit. Open the Rush.ipe app whenever one’s looking to make a quick, yet healthy dish using whatever available ingredients that they already have on hand. The app primarily targets working adults with busy schedules, looking for straight-to-the point, healthy, simple recipes. Rush.ipe is catered for users of various cooking skill—from newcomers learning in the kitchen to experienced home cooks, and is also developed for all sorts of professionals actively working in the restaurant and food service industry.
Ultimately, Rush.ipe was born from my love of food. I am a bonafide foodie—with eating and expanding my palate being one of my favorite pastimes. Though, the same can’t be said about the act of cooking from my lack of skill—underdeveloped from the lack of time. I would constantly find myself wanting to devote more time into cooking, but with juggling going to school full-time, working in food service, and interning, I would often have a hard time finding quick, healthy recipes. I created Rush.ipe in hopes to not only combat this common problem that many find themselves in, but design an elegantly minimalist interface that would be simple enough for anyone to use.
